Yellow Superstar

Another day with fun and laughter, though with a few tears on the brim - I think my tear ducts are well-used - nothing beats spending time with the one you adore. Had dinner at Italiannies at the Curve. In conjunction of Earth Hour, they turned off some lights and dimmed the rest. I'm happy. The rest of the mall was all bright though. Starbucks did a good job by leaving only 3 lights on, one at the drink counter and two at the seating area. Fly Fm did an awesome job by going off the air for an hour! Fantastic! Earth Hour shouldn't just be the only time we should put in effort to save the Earth. As long we turn off the electric appliances when we don't need them, we're helping the Earth!

Got stuck in the jam again when we left the Curve. But thanks to Fly, had so much fun listening to acoustic and live versions of some of our favourite songs. Even continued sitting in the car listening to a few songs. <3

Going Skytrex tomorrow with MWAC!! =D Shall do my best to take pictures.

The mixed tape

Ah my dear blog. Time to vent and rant out everything.

I went to work for the Edu fair last weekend. I had a lot of fun working there, meeting new people like Rachel, she is so cute I tell you! So happy. She thinks I'm tipsy but I'm not so she calls me tipsy. =.= Also, who knew Fifi would come to work as well? All four of us, Kat, Kavi, Fifi and I are together again! But we didnt get breaks together. I'm always alone!! Anyway, time to vent.

It is my job to encourage people to do the visitors' survey so that the fair can get feedback from the visitors.. I'm paid to smile, be friendly and help anyone with anything I am capable of. I'm paid to stand 6 hours a day to keep asking the same question, "Would you be interested in doing a survey?". 5 hours not including my break I have to smile and encourage people to take the survey in exchange of a small prize. Since the fair is so generous in giving these gifts away, DON'T FUCKING TRY TO CHEAT AND CON US AS MANY DIFFERENT WAYS YOU POSSIBLY CAN! I mean, it's not like my co-workers and I can't recognize you because WE CAN! It's my third time working here, of course I know how things work around. So if you try your luck by coming back again the next day, I congratulate you for taking the effort to come back all the way to the fair in KL but I'm sorry, your survey wouldn't be genuine at all so you don't get your prize.

For you people who decide to walk past me and just lining up for the prize without doing the survey, you are all cheapskates. I mean, it takes 5 minutes of your time to just complete a survey, just freaking do it, what's so difficult about it? And you just go line up for the prize? And how dare you come back to me and ask if you could exchange your prize. Fuck you. And if you blame us for having a terrible system to keep everything on track, well, we're sorry, we just came and situations change. So we deal with whatever we can possibly manage.

Those of you who are so rude to my co-workers and I, I hope you just die. Those of you who laugh at me when I smile and encourage people to do the survey like a promoter, fuck you. It's my job and I like doing it and it can bloody give me experience on how to deal with shitheads like you people. I like smiling and being friendly, so fuck you whoever says that one shouldn't be happy and friendly. And there is this retard who laughed at me when I smiled and tried to convince him and his friends to do the survey. You laughed at me. Fuck you. You think you're so cool that you don't need to sacrifice your weekend to work and that your parents would just supply you money like it's your own freaking waterfall of fortune. Just because you can afford expensive shoes and clothes and wearing sunglasses doesn't mean you're cool. I'm sorry, it's not you that can afford, your parents can afford. You laughed and giggled and made fun of me in front of your friends. I'm in front of you la idiot. Be discreet la. When you laughed at me, I shouted it right in front of your face, "It's my job, DON'T LAUGH!". Yeah, you stopped laughing. Thank god I had cramps that day cause if that didn't happen you would face my wrath. Your friends got their Starbucks voucher, you're the only idiot who thinks your too cool to do the survey. I hope you don't get accepted wherever you applied to. I hope you get rejected from every single university you applied to and you're forced to go to a community college. So what if you got all the money, you don't have manners and the brains.

Those who keep coming back, you seriously have nothing better to do. It's a freaking fair, go find out the information you're looking for instead of winning cheap prizes. And no, just because you know me, it doesn't mean you can get more prizes than others. I don't own the freaking company who plans the fair.

I'm done venting. I swear it's the period and assignments I'm doing for uni. I had a great weekend by the way besides the fact that I had to work and deal with people like that. Had McD's while the bf was trying to explain football terms to me. @.@ And also had dinner with his family the next day. <3

The worst is over. I hope everything is smooth sailing once again. I'm done with crying and getting worried over the littlest things.Time to get back on my stats assignment. I finally got a lead on it. Phew.

No, I don't need one right now

You shouldn't think so much about it. Let him have his moment, he needs it. He doesn't need you to ruin the one time he's having so much fun. He needs you to be happy with him. Don't think so much. Things come when unexpected. Good things. Let's keep the glass half full now. Everything is going to be ok. You'll be laughing and smiling when everything gets sorted out. The only reason why you're here typing this is because you're concerned and you need get everything out of your head. God will help you. He will. He always does. Wake up smiling tomorrow. You need to be happy. So smile and let's not think about it anymore. You've done everything you can, all you can do now is pray and wait. Just pray cause I know everything is going to be fine. Everything is going to be fine.

Come now, I need you

Whoever said Uni was a breeze that you'll sail through it, they deserve a big slap on their face. I stayed from 8am to 5pm in Uni, doing work. Assignments are piling up and I hope I'm keeping on schedule because I really need a break during the weekends. I have work during the weekend at the Edu Fair once again! It is awesome since I get hang out with friends once again! We do work of course. =D Hopefully the boyfriend gets to come along. *cross fingers*

Where the light is

I fell down two days ago. I grazed my knee. And it hurts. =(

Oh, Alice was good. =D I love Helena Bonham Carter.

Nothing beats a good conversation of music during dinner, eating Ikea's ice-cream listening to a band playing, getting stuck in traffic with your best friend listening to fantastic music while you sing along to it. Air guitar and drums. It was a night of smiles, laughter, giggles and chuckles. You come home and you keep replaying the scenes from the night over and over again, smiling each time. And because of this, you can't wait for the next week to spend time once more.

Holding Back

Uni is starting to kill me. Slowly. And painfully. I don't get my Stats lecturer. I usually have to come home and study by myself. And today, she taught us something that I couldn't find in the textbook. I'm screwed. Oh, I didn't know what she was talking about as usual.
Assignments waiting to be done. Due dates drawing closer. I have not started on a single one yet. Crap.

Alice in the Wonderland this Sat. =D Yes, I know I should be doing my assignments, they can wait. Hehe.

Anne, Helen and Johnny. Lovely indeed.

Oh did I mention I'm using Windows 7 on my Mac? I can alternate them. Oh yeah. Upgraded to Leopard Snow. 500GB of MEMORY! I LAVE IT!

This is all too familiar

"I'm going to miss you. A lot. Don't come back a different person alright?" she said as she struggled to hold back her tears. "Don't worry, you silly girl. Oh come on now, don't cry," he comforted her with his voice over the phone. She knew she was going to cry but she held back her tears and said goodbye to her best friend. He never has to know anything else. Not yet. Not now.

"He said you're hot, babe," said Frankie. "But I'm not interested in him," she replied.
"But he said 'You're hot' to your face and you replied, 'Cause I'm wearing heels' to him. He gave you a weird look."
"That was only because I heard him say I was tall. Oh come on, I'm not interested in him. Besides, I like someone else already."
"It's no harm. Come on, he is pretty good looking."
"Yeah, he is alright. But.."
"Lyssa! Keep quiet and just look out for this one alright?"
Lyssa looked at her friend and gave her a soft smile and finally said after a few seconds of silence, making Frankie think that she was giving a thought about the guy, "Let's go to class. We're late".

"Hey babe, could I hitch a ride from you?" asked Cassandra after class ended. Lyssa nodded her head as she stuffed her books into her bag, throwing in her pencil case as well. She looked around her table to check if she left anything behind on her desk. She saw Cas waiting at the door and quickly rushed to her side to leave the classroom.
"So I heard about this guy saying you were hot," she brought up as she raised her eyebrows with a grin on her face. Lyssa laughed at her friend's expression and smiled back and nodded. Cas and her have been friends ever since high school and every single little detail about their lives especially on relationships were split over hot chocolate or phone calls. "What's his name?" asked Cas in excitement. "Levi. Like Levi's jeans you know. It's cool having a name like that," she replied almost immediately as though she was also excited. However, deep down she was always thinking of another boy. A boy who had almost all the prospects of a perfect guy for her. "Babe, I've seen him. He is the best looking guy among his friends and you would say he's pretty cute for you," said Cas interrupting her thoughts.
"Cas, you already know who I'm interested in."
"And he will always be there in your heart. But is he here right now?"
  "No."
"Does he know how you feel?"
  "No."
"Lyss, live in the moment. You deserve this chance. Levi is interested in you. It's obvious. I've seen his friends act around him when you walk pass by them. I just never told you, that's all."
"But I need to know how he feels. And I'm not talking about Levi. I mean, once I know, I can move on."
Cas looked at her friend. She saw how much this girl liked that boy, she was willing to pass another chance with a good looking guy in college. She probably wouldn't understand how she would feels but Cas felt that what her friend was going through, battling with what if's and conflicting thoughts, was tough.
"You really like him don't you?"
"Yeah, I do. Very much."
She saw her friend smiled like she was a little girl of five dreaming about prince charming in a classic Cinderella fairytale. They walked down the stairs and into the the carpark. Both of them walked towards the car but Cas stopped. Lyssa continued walking, not noticing her friend stopped in her tracks. It was only after she reached for her keys from the side pocket of her bag, she noticed her friend standing there looking at her as though she was going to cry.
"What's wrong, Cas?" she probed. "Nothing. Just thought you might just want to give Levi a shot. Cause he seems like a pretty nice guy," said Cassandra. Lyssa looked around, avoiding her friend's eyes and unlocked the car. Cas quickly walked to the car and got in. The both of them sat in the car in silence for a few minutes before Lyssa started the car. The engine roared into life as Lyssa put her car onto Drive and released her hand brake and stepped on her accelerator.
The drive was only about seven minutes long but it seemed as though it was forever. The both of them sat in silence throughout the journey. They weren't in a fight or an argument, but simply because Cas knew Lyssa was finally giving a thought about the matter. Lyssa stepped on her brakes and the vehicle stopped eventually outside a house. "You were thinking about it just now, weren't you? Well, give me a call because I know you want to hear more from me. See you tomorrow babe," said Cas as she got out of the car. As soon as the door was shut, Lyssa released the brake pedal and sped off home. Countless thoughts ran through her mind. Jake was what she needed. Jake was whom she needed to talk to. And soon before Levi loses interest her.

******************************************************

Jake: I think you're cute too. But hey, don't get the wrong idea alright? We're just friends.

Ly$$a: Yeah, I know. Just friends. It's all good.

Jake: Great then. Listen, I gtg now. Catch up with you soon?

Ly$$a: You know I will. See you. Bye.

Jake: Bye.

Lyssa couldn't seem to delete the message Jake sent her. So he wasn't interested in her. So he thought they were just friends. Oh well, she thought. Somehow, she didn't really feel the pain as she thought she would have experienced after getting that message from him. Jake and her were best friends. That's it. It just stops there. The next day, she walked towards her classroom but something at the corner of her eye caught her attention. A tall figure was walking towards her direction. She could feel his eyes on her. He was wearing a white polo shirt with jeans hanging loosely on his hips. Levi was actually good looking. He had high cheek bones and tanned skin. She raised her head up and looked to her left. They made eye contact. Lyssa gave a friendly smile as though welcoming Levi to make his first move on her. No one else was around but the both of them.

Kisses that taste like honey and cinnamon

At this point, we come to realize that everything is not all sugar and spice and everything nice. Reality constantly reminds us that a fairytales only happen in children's books.

Distractions are always there. So in the end, all we can ever do is stay focus by remembering things that we already have and the people we all love. We miss people sometimes and all we ever need is a little piece that reminds us of them. Memories help. But sometimes they fade. Pictures help too.

Sir, sometimes we disappoint you. You've done so much to help us. You make your lessons interesting though sometimes the content can be really boring, but still you do your best to make it interesting. You make us want to do well in our exams. You come up with all sorts of strategies to help those in need. The look you gave me after you passed me my results, really boosted me up and made me wanna do better in History. You said I did my best even though it was so low. You understood that all of us did our best in the exam and you tell us we had the potential to do better than what we did.

You sir, supported us. In so many ways. That trip you gave to us. To Perth, to Japan. I went to Japan because you made it possible. You gave us a trip of a lifetime and I promise you we still have not forgotten about it. You kept us on schedule, you took care of all of us well, you had fun with us even though you had to plan everything. Like I said, it was a trip of a lifetime.

Though the disappointments, and the moments that made you low, look how far all of us made it. I hope we've done you proud cause we are lucky to have a wonderful teacher like you. Rest in peace, Mr Ganes.

Had to put it back in

First day of classes!!!!! =D And I fell asleep in my first class of the year. I know, epic phail. I couldn't help it. I woke up late, I jumped into the shower, multitasking, I was practically brushing my teeth while attempting to put on body soap. That didn't work out very well. Thank God I got my outfit ready the night before. I didn't even have the time to eat my breakfast at home so I grabbed the left over chinese new year biscuits and asked my maid to make milo for me so that I could eat in the car. Had to run to the Auditorium. And I fell asleep in the middle of the class. Must be all the adrenalin rush this morning when I woke up. Great way to start your Uni life! Way to go, Alanna, way to go.

But after the first class, I was pretty much awake after that. Totally feel like I was absorbing knowledge from the tutorials on bus&econ stats. =DDD

Enjoyed the last weekend. The moon was so bright and big and purrrty. Had an awesome dinner with the boyfriend's family! That was because my parent's went to an open house and they said I shouldn't come cause everybody there at the party were adults. =.= They have fun, I get to have fun too!

Off to bed. Hope I don't wake up late. =D
