Kangaroo? What kangaroo?

AND SO! Well, it's kind of awkward to just start blogging again but I guess it's about time! Well, It's been at least a month plus since I've arrived in Melbourne. Settled in, living by myself, learning how to cook, getting used to the erratic weather, it's been tough but it's an adventure I guess.

Currently stacked up with assignments and tests to study for, thus the blogging. Though with mountains of work every week, I've had tons of fun each week too. Who knew grocery shopping with your friends could be so fun? Or eating ice cream when it's 15 degrees outside? Having cook-outs? I do miss home though. Very very much even though I don't show it to my parents. It does get weird that suddenly I am in a different environment. It's weird that I'm not sleeping on my bed at home anymore, weird that I'm not showering in my own bathroom, weird that I'm walking to uni instead of driving (OH HOW I MISS DRIVING), weird that I'm just alone.

And when I do get lonely, I do immerse myself with housework, laundry, cooking, and currently, Disney movies. I downloaded a couple of disney movies that my generation used to hold on to. Did I mention that the download speed here is so fast, it's amazing! I watched The Little Mermaid today. It was produced in 1989, two years before I was even born. The story was just so lovely, I actually teared in the end. When you were a kid, you couldn't understand what the whole plot was about and now that you do, you actually sense all the emotion in it. But what I love most about Disney movies are the soundtracks!!! Who can forget Ariel singing Part of Your World when she was so longing to see humans on shore?

The reason why I love watching Disney movies besides the fact that I love their plots and soundtracks, is that it always ends with a typical happily ever after scene. I know that happily ever after's are difficult to come by in reality, but I've always believed in it. And true love is another element in every Disney classic. There is always true love somewhere out there and we're all destined to be with someone special. With technology and different mind sets now, people seldom believe in true love anymore, it's a shame.

And don't you sometimes wish you were living inside the movie? You'll have an adventure, you have an animal beside you that talks to you or at least it understands what you're going through, you break out singing songs about how you feel, you fall in love, you beat the villain and you live happily ever after. I sometimes wish life could be that easy, but oh well, it's time to head back into reality. But at least believe that true love and happy ever after endings do exist.

Back to my macro.
